Your Voters Reply. Your Team Responds. In Slack.

Every voter reply becomes a Slack thread. Every staff reply goes back as a text. 62+ languages translated automatically.

The voter never sees Slack. Your staff never leaves it.

How Conversations Work

1

Voter receives your SMS

Your campaign text arrives on their phone with a trackable link and compliance footer.

2

Voter replies

They text back a question, comment, or request — in any language.

3

Get Votes translates

If the reply is in a language other than English, it's automatically translated before your team sees it.

4

Slack thread opens

A new thread appears in the appropriate channel — tagged with voter name, district, and language.

5

Your staff replies in Slack

They type a response in the thread — in English, using the tool they already know.

6

Auto-translates back

Get Votes translates the reply into the voter's language before sending.

7

Voter receives the text

The response arrives as a normal SMS — in their language, from the same number. The conversation continues.

Channel Architecture

Slack channels are organized by geographic zone or district. Staff members watch the channels relevant to their area. When a voter replies, the conversation thread opens in the right channel automatically.

# district-14-north 3 active threads
# district-14-south 1 active thread
# district-22-west 5 active threads

Threads keep conversations contained. Staff can handle multiple conversations simultaneously without losing context. When a conversation is resolved, the thread is simply done — no ticket to close, no status to update.

62 Languages. Zero Translators.

Here's what a real conversation looks like — automatically translated in both directions.

VOTER (Spanish)

"Hola, quiero saber donde puedo votar temprano."

SLACK THREAD (Translated to English)

"Hello, I want to know where I can vote early."

STAFF REPLY (English in Slack)

"Hi! Early voting for your district is at Lincoln Community Center, Oct 28 - Nov 3, 8am-6pm."

VOTER RECEIVES (Spanish SMS)

"Hola! La votacion anticipada para su distrito es en el Centro Comunitario Lincoln, del 28 de oct al 3 de nov, de 8am a 6pm."

Why Slack?

"Don't I need to learn a new tool?"

No. That's the entire point. Your team already knows Slack. They already have it open. Replying to a voter is the same as replying to a coworker — type in the thread, hit enter. No training sessions, no onboarding, no new passwords.

"What about Microsoft Teams?"

Teams support is planned for post-MVP. Today, Get Votes integrates exclusively with Slack. If your campaign runs on Teams, reach out — we'd love to understand your timeline.

"Is voter data secure in Slack?"

Phone numbers are masked in Slack threads. Personally identifiable information lives in the Get Votes database, not in Slack messages. Staff see the voter's name and district for context, but sensitive data stays in the secure platform.

"What happens after the election?"

Your Slack workspace is archived. Conversation records and consent logs are retained in the Get Votes platform for the required retention period. You can export your data at any time.
